Early Life

Dr. Iniobong Abiola-Awe was born and raised in Nigeria. From an early age she showed interest in environmental science and community development, which later shaped her academic and professional journey.

Education

Dr. Abiola-Awe completed her undergraduate studies in Environmental Science, followed by postgraduate degrees focusing on climate policy and sustainable development. Her academic work includes research on adaptation strategies and resilience planning.

Career

Over the years, she has worked across government and international agencies to design and implement climate-related programs. She currently serves as the Director and Head of the Department of Climate Change at the Federal Ministry of Environment.

Research & Interests

Her primary research interests include climate adaptation, community resilience, and mainstreaming climate action into sector policy. She has authored several policy briefs and papers used by practitioners and policymakers.
